Save the Date! Jenn's ordination & installation Sunday Feb. 28: 3 pm
Come celebrate the ordination of Jenn Hagedorn to Christian ministry! She is to be installed as Pastor, at Spirit of Peace UCC, in Sammamish WA: http://spiritofpeaceucc.org
Jenn is our alum, from the inaugural 2012-13 Justice Leadership Program cohort, and former Keystone & JLP staff. Jenn's history includes coming up in the PNC UCC, growing up at Northshore UCC, and an alum of JLP who spearheaded the campaign for Seattle's Living Wage through the Church Council of Greater Seattle, and the No New Youth Jail support movement by predominantly white congregations across Seattle. We rejoice with our sister of the PNW as she begins her ordained ministry back here, and we can work together once again!

Sat. Feb. 27 Celebration of Life for Nell Townley
Celebration of Life: Nell Townley's memorial Saturday Feb. 27, Noon.
Keystone & Nell's family invite you to Save the Date. (This is also posted at Nell's FB page and Caring Bridge: https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/nelltownley)
Dear Family Members and Friends,
We are writing to invite you to join us on Saturday, February 27 for a virtual memorial service and a celebration of life for our mother, Nell Townley. Because this is a virtual event, we are hoping that our family and friends across the country will be able to join us.
We will begin at Noon Pacific Time/ 1 PM Mountain Time/ 2 PM Central Time/ 3 PM Eastern Time with a memorial service with the members of Keystone United Church of Christ, Mom's beloved church community for more than 30 years.
After the service and time for a break from zoom, we will begin a celebration of Mom's life for a less formal time to share stories and memories of her at 2 PM Pacific Time/ 3 PM Mountain Time/ 4 PM Central Time/ 5 PM Eastern Time.
We hope you can join us for both events and, depending on your schedule, you are welcome to join for all or part of either event. If you wish, please think about your favorite memory with Mom that you might share during the family event. We want to collect stories that Mom's great-grandchildren can hear and enjoy even as they become adults so that multiple generations can know her better.
If you plan to attend, please let us know and we will send the zoom links. We will use the church's link for the first event and Teresa's link for the second event.
For those who might not be familiar with zoom, Teresa is happy to send information about connecting and to hold a 'practice session' earlier in the week of February 22.
Your presence in Mom's life and in ours is much appreciated and we hope you can join us for this day of sharing memories and stories about Mother as we wish her well on this next phase of her journey.
Love, Teresa and Rick, Nathan and Ruth

From home- bring your tea or candle, & your singing voice, for 20 minutes of Holden Prayer. Elliot, Yigit Carli, Rich & Lauren have prepared this candlelit evening service with lots of singing, reflective time, & a seasonal scripture. Holden Village retreat center in the North Cascade mountains started this lovely prayer service. Many of the hymns we sing in Sunday worship at Keystone were written by Marty Haugen who once took a sabbatical in the Holden Village in 1986. He composed Holden Evening Prayer for the winter community while he was there. Its a vespers (evening) service, that is now done in many places for simple contemplative worship. A while back, two Keystone year-long young adult volunteers, Melissa and Eric, brought us this practice.
